For riders, their motorcycle is never just a means of transportation, it’s part of them. It reflects their lifestyle and personality. That is probably the main reason why customization is part of owning a bike. Arlen Ness is known as a King of custom made bikes. With an imaginative mind and a flair for creativity, he has made absolutely unique machines for many decades. Arlen Ness motorcycles were featured on a great number of magazines and TV shows. They set trends with their wild paint jobs and one-of-a-kind designs instead of following them.
The sky’s the limit these days when it comes to Arlen Ness parts for Harley, Victory, and Indian bikes. The brand has something for each of their components. But that may not always be the case. The company’s history started in the garage of its founder far back in 1970 when he customized his first motorcycle, the Harley-Davidson Knucklehead. At that moment, Arlen held a day job that involved installing aluminum doors and windows. His distinctive Knucklehead began a decades-long success story. After more than 45 years, it still looks relevant with its striking paint job.
This is when his side gig of custom paint and fabrication began to grow. Later on, Ness started to develop and design custom parts and accessories. Arlen Ness mirrors were among the first offerings from the brand. Since its beginning in that garage plant in California, the company has managed to grow into the leader in the motorcycle custom industry. There are numerous Arlen Ness grips and pegs, windshields and saddlebags, headlight mounts and license plate frames, and many other accessories that aim to make a bike look unique.
