Betamotor, or just Beta, is a well-known Italian company which specializes in off-road motorcycles. The history of Beta traces back to 1904, when "Società Giuseppe Bianchi" started making bicycles. In the 1940s, the company created its first motorbikes, the Cervo 48 and Cigno, and was renamed Beta. In fact, it was an abbreviation formed from the names of Enzo Bianchi and Arrigo Tosi who ran the company at that time. The Cigno model was propelled by a single-cylinder 48cc engine and featured a double cradle frame, telescopic forks, and shocks. Later on, during the 50s and 60s, the company designed several sporty road bikes such as Mercurio 150 and Orione 200.

Starting in the 70s, Beta was more and more focused on dirt bikes meant for observed trials and enduro. Its experience rose in the atmosphere of competitions and motocross. The bikes by Beta have been widely used in motorcycle trials since the 80s. In the 2000s, they became popular in enduro as well. There were numerous achievements including the victories in seven Trial World Championships, seven European Championships, and more than a hundred of National Championships all around the globe. When it comes to the company's most popular bikes made in the 80s-90s, these are such models as the TR34, TR35, Zero, SuperTrial, Gara, Techno, etc. The newer lineup includes the RR 2T and RR 4T, Evo (both two- and four-stroke models), Xtrainer, MiniCross Electric, street legal off-road motorcycles, and some others. As for the engines, their displacement ranges from 50cc in street versions to 480cc in Enduro 4-stroke models. Beta can use their own motors and engines by other market leaders – Suzuki and KTM. In any case, the bikes by this famous company feature an outstanding level of performance, technical refinement, and reliability for both world championships and amateur riders.
