The Right Belt for the Job®. You can depend on Carlisle belts by Timken for a wide range of applications. Company got you covered with the right belt for most any job. Carlisle belts are purpose-built and designed for optimal performance on the most demanding applications. They resist stretch, heat, oil, chemicals, ozone, and are static dissipating.
Quiet, Efficient and Maintenance Free Operation. Synchronous (timing) belts are toothed belts in which power is transmitted through positive engagement between the belt teeth and a toothed sprocket (pulley). This positive engagement results in exact shaft synchronization while eliminating slippage and speed loss common to v-belts.
Trapezoidal, curvilinear, or modified curvilinear teeth mesh with matching grooves on sprockets to provide positive power transmission on high-torque applications with high and low speeds. A synchronous belt requires no re-tensioning, improves energy efficiency and reduces downtime.
Compared to chain, synchronous belts are more compact, lighter, quieter, require no lubrication and operate at higher speeds. Carlisle synchronous drive systems offer quiet, efficient and maintenance free operation.
New EPDM Durapower® II V-Belts Reduce Downtime and Save Energy. Durapower II v-belts are made of EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer), a synthetic rubber that is durable, heat resistant, static conductive and resistant to hardening and glazing. Durapower II v-belts combine the advantages of EPDM, raw edge technology, and an exclusive CNA construction for superior performance and efficiency. A real heavyweight in HVACR and the light duty v-belt arena, Durapower II belts reduce maintenance and downtime with a more efficient, longer lasting belt.
Maximum Protection Against Belt Whip and Turn Over. Banded belts are two or more v-belts (ribs) joined together to form a single unit. Banded belts are an excellent solution to problem drives with long center distances or drives with pulsating and high shock loads where single belts vibrate, turn over or jump off the sheaves.
Carlisle banded belts by Timken are available in classical cross-sections (B, C, D) and narrow cross-sections (3V, 5V, 8V) in wrapped or cogged constructions. The highly engineered tie-band across the top permanently bonds individual v-belts together enabling the belts to function as a single unit with even load distribution and wear. Stability is enhanced preventing belt whip and turnover.
Strong and Resilient. Industrial belts, just like industrial belt drives, are not all alike. Special belts, often designed from the ground up by our expert engineering team, are often necessary in particular applications. From unique applications in the textile industry to familiar conveyor belt applications, Carlisle specialty belts are the strong and resilient solution to those exclusive drive needs.
