Hawk Performance developed a Sintered Metallic brake pad compound that is specifically designed to meet the high demands of open wheel sprint car racing. Formulated to deliver a flat coefficient of friction at medium to high temperature levels providing consistent performance throughout the life of the pad. Track tested and proven effective in all forms of sprint car racing. This friction formulation offers lower wear rates and higher torque values than any other competitive material in the market today. To ensure the utmost effective performance, all Hawk Performance rotors and pads are subjected to rigorous testing on brake dynamometers designed to accurately simulate real world applications - from professional racetracks with speeds in excess of 200 MPH to off-track street driving applications at speeds below 30 MPH. In addition, every product is subjected to extensive on-vehicle testing to further guarantee each component meets the specific performance criteria required before going to market.
