The company was established in Thailand in 1955 and has been engaged in producing OEM filters since 1963. Starting in 1997, Hiflofiltro has been part of Bike Alert, which also owns JT Sprockets – a brand of best-selling motorcycle sprockets and an OE supplier to motorcycle makers. The foundation for creating reliable, lasting products is properly selected raw materials. Hiflo air filters and oil filters are manufactured using Japan-sourced steel, German glue, and application-specific filtering materials from Japanese or U.S. providers. They are made in-house from start to finish, with each stage of the production process rigorously controlled. Testing is one of the essential stages: Hiflo oil filters are pressure tested for leaks, while also undergoing roughly a dozen other quality assurance procedures. As a result, they are proven to withstand four times greater pressures than they will actually be subjected to in a motorcycle. TÜV accreditation is the official proof of Hiflofiltro quality: it is the first – and still the only – filter brand to meet the stringent standards of this German certification body, which assesses everything from production processes to the quality of the end product.
