Many studies and analysis are assessed by the highly skilled teams before a helmet is approved.
REDUCING AERODYNAMIC DRAG
IMPROVING VENTILATION
MAXIMUM STABILITY
MINIMUM VIBRATION AND NOISE
AND more…
When we’re building Jorge Lorenzo, Ben Spies’ or your HJC helmet, we want to make sure it performs just as well at 200 km/h as it does at 30 km/h. This is why we test every new HJC helmet design in our own, state-of-the-art, 177 horsepower wind tunnel. Having our own hurricane-force wind tunnel lets us fine-tune each design for minimal lift, maximum stability, improved ventilation, reduced drag, and minimal vibration and noise.
HJC’s Premium Integrated Matrix (PIM) shell consists of a strong blend of highly technical fabrics. While most current helmets are adapting general unsaturated polyester resin and common fiberglass – we are combining the highest levels of advanced materials. This use of advanced quality composite materials produces extremely high impact absorption and exceptional lightness thanks to its strong and flexible twill woven reinforcement.
