Husaberg is currently a well-known manufacturer of enduro and supermoto bikes in Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the USA. The company was established far back in 1988 by a group of former engineers from Husqvarna led by Thomas Gustavsson. When Cagiva, an Italian motorcycle manufacturer, purchased the motorcycle division of Husqvarna, those engineers decided to stay back in Sweden and work on their own project. As a result, Husaberg Motor AB was registered. The company was mostly focused on supermoto and off-road four-stroke motorcycles that came in many displacement options. Husaberg motorcycle parts and accessories were built with professional attention to detail and perfectly united to provide the industry with powerful and reliable vehicles. The company’s lineup of four-stroke dirt bikes included the FE line. Husaberg supermoto motorcycles were also available in a wide range of options. The FS 650C was perhaps the most impressive member of the line. It was a race-only model with electric start.

The company was actually founded with a goal to take part in races and competitions, but it didn’t have enough funds to hire experienced pilots. Although, its rookie riders brought the company a number of victories in many events like Enduro World and FIM 500cc Motocross World Championships. All Husaberg motorcycle accessories and parts work in unison to deliver the performance everyone expected from the company which derived its roots from the well-known Husqvarna. Unfortunately, great results on the track didn’t compensate for poor sales. As a result, Husaberg was purchased by KTM, an Austrian manufacturer, in 1995. Husaberg's slogan “Ready to Race” was adopted by its parent company. “4 Stroke force” had been used as a new slogan of the company up until 2012, when Husaberg added two-stroke bikes to its four-stroke offerings. Its current motto is “Pure Enduro.”

In 2003, KTM moved the production of bikes to its own factory in Austria. Although, its motorsport section remained in Sweden. But through it all, the engineers at the company have never stopped working hard to design and manufacture outstanding machines consisting of Husaberg accessories and parts built to last for years. Thus, for the 2009 model year, the company released two enduro bikes with the revolutionary engine and a great number of technical highlights. In a year, its lineup adopted three other models (the FE 390, FX 450, and FS 570) based on the same chassis and engine. For the 2011 model year, Husaberg offered two-stroke enduro models (the TE 250 and TE 300) for the first time in its history. In 2013, Husqvarna was purchased by Pierer Industry AG, which is owned by Stefan Pierer, a CEO of KTM. Following that acquisition, it was decided to reunite two companies that came out of common roots under the name Husqvarna Sportmotorcycle GMBH. In other words, the company aims to deliver a perfect combination of Husqvarna’s rich heritage and Husaberg’s state-of-the-art technology. The 2014 model year is the 25th anniversary for Husaberg and the last opportunity to purchase a pure Husaberg bike.
