The story of Kimpex USA dates back to 1966 when Gilles Soucy for some time had to stop working as a heavy machinery operator due to an injury and decided to sell snowmobile clutches. In the early 1980s, Mr. Soucy acquired The Transcycle Accessories, a motorcycle parts distributor and enlarged the company’s product offering. In 1993, Gilles Soucy decided to sell GSI together with Kimpex USA and The Transcycle Ltd. to a group of investors in the USA who called the company Kimpex USA. Yet, the new owners didn’t manage to advance the company’s development and six years later Gilles Soucy repurchased Kimpex USA with the goal to bring back the days of glory and he succeeded.
