Motocross/Dirt Bike Brake Lines

No matter how much fun you have while riding your motocross or dirt bike, it’s not only fun you care about but also safety. There are several things that can undermine your safety, and the faulty brake parts are some of them. When noticing a mushy feeling in brakes, many riders would first check the calipers and master cylinder, but very often, it is not the major parts causing problems but those small ones people don’t usually pay much attention to. The brake lines, for example, deteriorate pretty fast and may be the reason why the entire system doesn’t work well.

What these lines and hoses do is transfer pressure from the master cylinder of your motorcycle to its brakes. Wearing out over time, they lose their tightness, so it is strongly recommended to keep an eye on them and replace them in time. Most hoses are produced from rubber, but if you seek higher durability, replace the stock rubber ones with their steel braided counterparts that not only work longer but also provide a more consistent feel at the lever.
