The story of the company began in a two-car garage in Palatine, Illinois. One of the company’s founders, Wayne Pingel, was customizing “Chopper” type bikes as well as performing restoration of Harley-Davidson engines. In 1973 Pingel started producing its own products and grew into a mail-order enterprise focusing on parts for Harley-Davidson bikes. After the company developed, enlarged, and received independence, it moved to a more rural setting in Wisconsin that occupies an area of 51,000 sq ft. After a while, Pingel started fabricating more products for motorcycle drag racing applications. In time the company has presented other product lines to cover a broader range of customers.
