Polisport Motorcycle Parts, Accessories, Body Armor
Polisport was founded in Portugal in the late 1970s and has established itself globally as a staple in the motorcycle accessories industry. It is also a leader in plastic parts for off-road bikes. Polisport plastics are used as original equipment on many European and Japanese motorcycles, including but not limited to BMW, Husqvarna, KTM, Honda, and Triumph. So when you need products of OE quality, you can't do better than this brand. For over 40 years in this industry, Polisport has developed plenty of production innovations and received over 20 patents.
Polisport has been involved in the motorcycle parts market from the get-go. Plastics for bikes were hard to find at the time, so the founder, Pedro Araújo, made his first fenders out of polyester resin and sold them to the nearby stores. Today, the Polisport Group includes five companies that make a specialty out of producing parts for Enduro, Supermoto, and MX bikes, helmets, bicycle components, safety seats, and various other products. All of them are manufactured in-house, in the brand's facilities located in Portugal.
Polisport handguards, radiator scoops, fenders, and all other plastic components are produced using proprietary technologies and processes that increase their strength and impact resistance. When you're trail biking, getting over streams and rocks and maneuvering between obstacles, taking a spill is a matter of when, not if. The company has stronger than stock injection-molded replacements for damaged bodywork that fit and look exactly like OEM. Like many other products in the lineup, Polisport headlights are made by simultaneously injecting two materials – polypropylene and rubber – that increases impact resistance while saving weight. They come in many versions, including the DOT-approved Polisport Headlight HALO with halogen bulbs, HALO LED with durable and powerful LED bulbs, the LOOKOS that is powered by an integrated battery or solar power, and more.
