Your original purchase of RK sealed-ring chain is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship to the original purchaser for 20,000 miles of street use or two years from the date of purchase, which ever comes first. Off-Road sealed chains are warranted for one year of off-road use. There is absolutely no warranty of any kind for an RK chain used in any racing competition.
RK sealed chain warranty
The warranty covers only O.E.M. replacement grade RK sealed chains and applications.
The RK sealed motorcycle chain is warranted to the original purchaser to be free of mechanical defects in material and workmanship for 20,000 miles of street use or two years from the date of purchase, which ever comes first. There is a one-year warranty for sealed off-road chains. No other expressed warranty is offered.
RK’s obligation hereunder is limited to replacing the chain during the warranty period on a “pro-rated” use basis.
This warranty shall not apply to products subjected to racing, accident, negligence, alteration, abuse, misuse, improper installation or improper uses. Further, the chain you have purchased herewith is not an endless chain and it must be installed by using the included connecting link. Because of this it is understood that the installation, correct or otherwise is beyond the control of RK, and as such, you are hereby advised that RK, or its sales and distribution representatives, shall not be liable for any consequential, special or contingent damages, expense or injury arising directly or indirectly from any failure of the connecting link assembly of any RK non-endless chain.
Warning - A qualified motorcycle mechanic should install all drive chains and sprockets using proper tools and procedures. The seal and connecting link can be damaged if installed incorrectly and may lead to a dangerous operating condition or even accident. RK strongly recommends the use of a “rivet type” connecting link (when available) for all applications
New sprockets should be installed when replacing the drive chain. Damaged, worn or misaligned sprockets can shorten the life of your chain and will also void this warranty. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which may vary from state to state.
