While few would dispute that a helmet is the most important piece of motorcycle gear, it’s far from the only apparel you need to be safe and comfortable when riding on the road or in the dirt. We’ve all seen the characters riding around in shorts and flip-flops, who only don helmets because they have to. Without getting into graphic details, suffice it to say those guys are just potential statistics or at the very least in for a world of hurt if they go down. Don’t be one of those guys! And there’s no reason to be one with our great selection of stylish, comfortable and protective riding gear that’s priced affordably and ready to be shipped to your door. No matter what kind of bike you ride or the type of riding you’re into, we have the appropriate gear including boots, gloves, jackets, pants, riding suits, and much more.

The archetypal leather motorcycle jacket, popularized by Marlon Brando in the classic movie “The Wild One”, is a deeply ingrained element of motorcycle culture. But while that original jacket became a fashion statement for motorcyclists as well as the general public, there were practical reasons for its popularity with riders. Leather is a great insulator and provides abrasion protection, and there were design elements like the wind blocking diagonal front zipper and sleeve zippers and other features that kept riders comfortable and protected while in the riding position. This style jacket has been a favorite for cruising, but the leather jacket has evolved to include designs appropriate for racing, sport bike riding, touring, and adventure touring.

For decades, leather was the go-to material for motorcycle jackets, and nothing can compare to the look of a worn-in leather jacket, but today textile jackets made with Kevlar and Cordura match or exceed leather’s abrasion protection and many are also waterproof. But regardless of which material you choose, you’ll find modern motorcycle jackets packed with features to make riding safer and more comfortable including zippered vents that can be opened for cooling in the summer and closed in cooler weather, and removable thermal liners for additional temperature control. Or for the ultimate in hot weather cooling airflow go with a mesh textile jacket or perforated leather. Many jackets include removable CE rated armor for shoulder, elbow, and back protection, as well as reflective panels for nighttime visibility, and the numerous inside and outside pockets found on jackets like those for adventure touring are great for cell phones, keys, earplugs, and more.

Blue jeans are the most common pants worn by riders, but since calves and knees don’t fare any better against pavement than arms and elbows, consider our riding jeans. These feature removable knee armor, knee and seat areas made with Kevlar, and stretch panels for greater comfort in the riding position. Want more protection options? We have everything from traditional leather chaps to motocross pants. Our leather and textile pants are the perfect complement to our jackets for racing, sport riding and touring, and have similar features including body armor (for hips and knees) and high visibility graphics, as well as padding and stretch or precurved panels for comfort on the bike. We also have textile overpants designed for easy on and off protection that can be worn over your street threads. An alternative to separate jacket and pants is the racing or touring suit. These have most of the same application specific features but in a one-piece design or 2-pieces that can be attached.

Whether you’re walking or riding, it’s instinctive to extend your arms if you start to fall. If you’re walking you’ll probably get away with some scrapes on your hands, but on a bike, even at low speeds your hands can be seriously injured…unless you’re wearing riding gloves. Motorcycle gloves have padding or armor for impact protection and abrasion resistant leather or textile material to protect your skin. We offer insulated, waterproof gloves to keep you warm and dry in cooler and inclement weather, and mesh gloves for summer, as well as gloves for road racing and gloves for dirt riding and motocross racing. In addition to a wide range of styles and colors, choose from short and long gauntlet gloves. Long gauntlets are ideal for fitting over the jacket sleeves to block the wind, and all gloves are adjustable for comfort at the wrist.

Boots are the final piece of the protection package. With a helmet and the gear described above, your body will be fortified literally from head to toe. Like other motorcycle riding gear, boots provide comfortable protection against impact and abrasion, but they also have to be strong enough to give you the stability and ankle support you need, whether it’s for holding up a rider, passenger, and big touring bike at a light with one foot or standing on the pegs on both feet throughout a motocross race. We offer boots that have all the aforementioned qualities, with toe areas rigid enough to handle repeated shifter operation, in a variety of styles and heights and with soles and features for every type of riding and riding surface, including road racing and sport bike riding, touring and adventure touring, motocross racing and dirt riding, and cruising.

In addition to these essentials, our digital shelves are stocked with additional gear to further boost the protection/comfort/style factor including a huge selection of goggles and glasses with clear and tinted lenses, all designed specifically for motorcycle riders, as well as replacement lenses in various tints, replacement straps, and tear-offs for off-roaders. If you want more impact protection and joint support we have a large selection of body armor including chest deflectors and back protectors, knee braces and knee and shin guards, and elbow pads. We also have the gear to help you handle any type of weather, from rain suits that will keep you dry during torrential downpours, to hydration packs and evaporative cooling vests so you can beat the summer heat, to balaclavas, masks, bandanas, neck warmers and electrically heated socks and jacket, pants and gloves liners that will keep you toasty on frigid winter days. Plus, we have the latest style motocross jerseys and casual gear including tees, hoodies, and hats.

The pants look awesome with jean style pockets and stylish detailing on the sides. They seem to be really well-made, and the leather is high quality and very soft! The pants, however, fit a bit tight and kinda lack functionality. No knee and hip pads. No protector pockets. Overall though, a great option for a city ride!
