No vehicle needs superior lighting more than a motorcycle, bright light that enables the rider to clearly see the road or trail ahead at night, and illumination that makes the motorcycle visible to other motorists for safer riding day and night. Whether you want to repair or upgrade your lighting we have the products you need to restore or improve your nighttime visibility, including affordable replacement composite headlight assemblies, full LED projector sealed beams, LED fog and driving lights, and passing lamps. And we have the LED accessory lights to illuminate your bike’s presence and make it stand out among the rolling masses, including kits that create a multicolor light show you control from your smartphone.
When driving in darkness, car and truck drivers must be able to see obstacles, pedestrians, animals, and other motorists in plenty of time to avoid them, but motorcyclists need even greater detection capabilities because small objects and surfaces like loose sand, gravel, and wet leaves that might not affect a 4-wheeled vehicle could cause a motorcycle to go down. Motorcycles are much smaller than cars and trucks, especially when viewed head-on, and most drivers’ brains have been conditioned to focus on cars and trucks and a motorcycle may not register even when the driver is looking directly at the bike. This is why the most common refrain from a motorist after hitting a motorcycle is “but officer, I didn’t see the motorcycle.” When you equip your bike with our motorcycle lighting products, you can substantially improve your riding safety, and in many cases, boost your motorcycle’s curb appeal at the same time.
Although we offer lights with halogen bulbs, the majority of our lighting products owe their brilliance to LEDs. Unlike incandescent bulbs with fragile filaments that can burn out after a few thousand hours or fail due to vibration, LEDs are semiconductors that produce light when current is applied. They can last 50,000 hours or more, so you can forget about bulb replacement, and they’re insensitive to vibration, making them unaffected by off-road adventures or pothole strewn roads. LEDs produce light that is much brighter, and when used in directed lighting applications like headlights, fog lights, and driving lights the beam extends further ahead, so you can see further down the road or the trail and drive safer under adverse weather conditions. LED lights are also highly energy efficient and draw much less current than comparable incandescent bulbs, so installing them won’t strain your electrical system - an important consideration on a motorcycle.
If you’ve had a crash or the lens on your bike’s composite headlight has suffered fading or impact damage, there’s no need to pay the high dealer price when we can supply you with a direct fit, OE replacement composite headlight assembly for much less cash. And if you want brighter light and better visibility at the same time install one of our LED headlight conversion kits. These bulbs are a plug and play installation, with no rewiring or modifications to your bike required. If your motorcycle has a sealed beam headlight we can supply you with a halogen replacement, but why not upgrade to brighter light and awesome looks with a full LED sealed beam headlight. Along with superior LEDs many of these lights use projector beam technology. With their small elliptical reflectors and clear lenses, projector beams produce a sharper, more focused beam of light without the scatter loss that is common with parabolic reflectors, for even greater visibility in darkness.
Many of our LED sealed beam headlights also have LED accent lights that serve as DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), including eye-catching LED halos. With DRLs your motorcycle will be more conspicuous - your bike will gain style and illumination that will command attention not only from enthusiasts but ordinary motorists as well, to the benefit of your safety. On select headlights the DRLs can be configured to illuminate in bright white and function as DRLs, but they can also be set-up in “switchback” mode and change to flashing amber when the turn signals are switched on. We also offer LED sealed beams that contain an internal gravity sensor which detects when the motorcycle leans, activating a bank of crescent LEDs that illuminate in the direction of the turn. You get more light exactly where you need it, while indicating the direction you’re turning to other motorists, for even greater riding confidence and safety when ambient lighting is less than optimal.
In addition to headlights we also have other LED lights that can improve your forward visibility. You can upgrade your passing lamps to LED passing lamps, and if you don’t have any front lighting besides your headlight, you can supplement its light with our LED fog lights or auxiliary driving lights. These lights are sized just right for a motorcycle and can be tucked into recesses in the fairing or mounted on forks or highway bars or dedicated light bars. Since they’re almost exclusively LEDs they pack a lot of light for their size, and we offer harnesses, switches and relays to make installation painless. Turn signals are common casualties in a lay down or tip over, and we can supply you with replacements, but we also have all the custom styles including flush mount and bullet style LED turn signals and rear fender eliminator kits that allow you to remove the ungainly rear turn signals and replace them with diminutive light bar or flush mount signals.
Another alternative if you want a smooth custom look is an LED tail light made specifically for your bike that has the turn signal function built-in. These are direct fit tail lights that come with your choice of clear or smoke lenses. You’ll find these and many other tail light options on our digital shelves including complete custom tail light assemblies, blue dot tail light lenses, and tail light base plates that turn your stock incandescent bulb tail light into an LED tail light. LEDs are particularly appropriate for tail lights because of the brake light function. They light up 0.2 seconds faster than incandescent bulbs, which may not sound like much, but when you consider that at 60 mph a car travels 88 ft. in one second, that time can give the driver behind almost 20 ft. of additional stopping distance - extra road that can be the difference between braking in time and an unfortunate collision. But if you really want to boost your safety factor install one of our brake light modules that makes the lights flash when you apply the brakes.
Bright lights in unexpected places are a sure-fire way to get the attention of motorcycle enthusiasts and ordinary motorists alike, and we have the lighting products to make it happen. You’ll enjoy admiring stares and greater safety because your bike can’t be ignored. We offer a variety of flexible LED accent light strips and diminutive LED light pods that are so small they can be installed just about anywhere. They come in sets or complete kits in a range of colors and can be installed with screws or 3M adhesive tape. We also offer small LED light bars that can be used to supplement running and brake lights, multi-function fender-mount LED lights, and much more.
But if you really want to be the star of the show, install one of our LED underbody light kits. The tubes, light strips, and/or pods in these kits are compact to fit in tight spaces behind air cleaners and under gas tanks and fenders, yet bright enough to provide the degree of illumination you want to perfectly highlight your machine. You’ll not only be able to cast a crowd-drawing glow on the ground underneath your bike, but also emphasize custom work and equipment. For example, if you’ve got a lot invested in chrome, there’s no better way to show it off than with brilliant reflected LED light, in color or with color changing effects. These kits are available in your choice of single colors or multicolor kits that you can control from an app on your smartphone. Capabilities will vary according to kit, but in general you can change colors; choose preset or custom color changing patterns and themes; and strobe, scan and pulse lights to music. With some kits all the LED lights in the kit can be set to illuminate in red when the brakes are applied for the ultimate in safety.
