Description

Walker Products Ignition Knock (Detonation) Sensors are OE Replacement components that monitor engine vibrations to detect knocking or detonation events. These sensors are a critical part of the engine control system, allowing the ECU to adjust ignition timing in real time to prevent spark knock—a condition that can cause internal engine damage, reduced fuel economy, and drivability issues. Walker Knock Sensors are engineered to match OE specifications for frequency range, sensitivity, and electrical output. Each unit is tuned to detect the specific resonant frequency of knock in a given engine platform, enabling precise spark retard when knock is detected. Built from high-quality, heat- and oil-resistant materials, these sensors are designed to endure the harsh conditions of the engine block and cylinder head. With exact OE fitment, Walker Knock Sensors install directly into the original threaded locations and connect using factory-style electrical terminals. Whether addressing a fault code (e.g., P0325, P0330), correcting timing issues, or replacing a failed sensor, Walker Knock Sensors restore proper knock detection, improve engine safety, and support optimal ignition performance across a wide range of gasoline applications.
