Namura Technologies Inc. is a Minnesota-based company that has been producing pistons, rings, bearings, and gaskets since 2001. Whether it's recreational off-road riding or motocross racing, Namura has quality products that outperform stock motorcycle parts while being offered at a better price. Its pistons have been tested and proven in numerous challenge races and motocross competitions. Aside from a selection of cast and forged pistons, the company has an exclusive Hyperdryve line of pistons made out of an aerospace-grade hypereutectic aluminum alloy.
Namura pistons come in OE-spec sizes and oversizes, cast from alloys with a higher silicone content to better resist wear and high temperatures. Heads are machined smooth and then anodized. The result is a stronger product that better withstands extreme heat with less expansion, and less carbon buildup. Skirts are finished in MOS2 (Teflon/Molybdenum) that's 10 times stronger than other types of coatings. This reduces friction and improves heat transfer, providing smoother starts and outstanding break-in protection.
The company's forged pistons are built from the alloy that outclasses the 4032 aluminum industry standard. This further reduces expansion and provides superior strength-to-weight ratio, while allowing for tighter tolerances. The Hyperdryve series is stronger than conventional cast alloys and maintains hardness in extreme conditions for longer time periods, without the higher cost of forging. Namura piston kits include the piston, rings, circlips, and a wrist pin.
