Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin / CRF1000L2 Africa Twin Adventure Sports 2018, "T" Touring Windshield by MRA®. The MRA touring screen is 8 cm longer and 7.8 cm wider than the original screen (total length: 53 cm). However, the secret lies in the shape of the screen - unlike the original and most other accessory screens, the middle of the MRA touring screen curves in towards the driver to avoid buffeting and turbulence at the edge of the screen, ensuring an even and smooth airflow almost without any noise or vibration around the helmet. The MRA screen's greater width is more effective at shielding the arms and shoulders, while the large air vent in the lower central part of the screen ensures effective ventilation. The Touring Screen has a similar shaped base as your bike's standard screen but, typically, is longer and taller. Its extra length and height is created by an upwardly sloping rear section over its entire width, designed to deflect wind pressure away from the rider, ensuring an easy, relaxing ride - even on long trips. For some models with very upright screens as standard, to avoid creating unnecessary turbulence, the Touring Screen is just simply extended without any further upwards angle.

The Touring Screen adds 3 inches in height and width over the stock unit with specially optimized contours to eliminate buffeting and turbulence. Safety, comfort and functionality are critical to each design and as a built in natural safety feature, a break or crack would result in a blunt edge rather than a dangerously sharp edge.
