Description

The Arnott MR-5358 magnetic coil strut assembly is designed for the front of 2015–2020 GM Short Wheelbase (4WD) and Long Wheelbase (RWD/4WD) SUVs, as well as 2014–2018 GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado (RWD) models equipped with Z95 MagneRide. This direct replacement is engineered to restore proper factory ride height and maintain the adaptive performance expected from MagneRide systems. Arnott offers multiple ride height options for the GM K2 platform. The MR-5358 restores the vehicle to factory height, while the MR-4262 provides an additional 1 inch lift, giving drivers flexibility based on their setup and preferences. At its core, the assembly uses an OES monotube damper filled with magnetorheological fluid, a synthetic hydrocarbon oil with iron particles that respond to magnetic fields. When the electromagnetic coil is energized, the particles align to alter the viscosity of the fluid, adjusting suspension stiffness in real time for precision handling and comfort. Each strut is pre-assembled with a powder-coated coil spring, upper strut mount, bump stop, spring seat, and isolator. This plug-and-play design fits either front position and includes a detailed installation manual for convenience. Designed and assembled in the USA, the MR-5358 is recommended to be replaced in pairs for optimal performance.
