Cruiser Bike Push Rods & Lifter Blocks
Browse by Vehicle
Pushrods are the parts of the engine's valvetrain used primarily in those V-shaped motors which have a cam installed not directly above the cylinders but closer to the crankshaft, in the engine block. With such a setup, the impulses from the camshaft cannot be transferred to the valves directly and need extra rods – pushrods. Lifters are also essential valvetrain components serving as a link between the camshaft and pushrods. The lifters can only be adjustable – either manually or self-adjustable. The latter are called hydraulic lifters.
Why lifters need to be adjustable is because of their function to compensate for the growing clearances resulting from normal wear the valvetraun encounters throughout its lifespan. Ordinary lifters require manual adjustments performed as part of scheduled maintenance once in a while. Hydraulic lifters cleverly use motor oil pressure to perform quick automated adjustments every time the engine starts. It’s not often when cruiser bike push rods & lifter blocks get broken, which is why it may be hard for some to find the replacements of this sort. However, we keep them available on our virtual shelves.
