ATK Dual-Sport Bike Women's

Established far back in the 1980s, ATK Motorcycles is currently America’s second oldest manufacturer of motorcycles and ATVs. The company's goal is to provide those Americans who are passionate about bikes with American-made vehicles which offer a quality ride while looking great. The company also offers the lineup of ATK parts and accessories that are known for their durability and reliability all around the USA. ATK started its history of success with the introduction of Anti-Tension Kettenantrieb (German for chain drive) later known as the A-Trax, patented by Horst Leitner, an Austrian-born engineer and the founder of the company. The company name derived from the original name of that device which was developed to improve handling on a motorcycle by normalizing chain torque.

Over the years, ATK has led the motorcycle industry with an impressive list of firsts. Thus, after introducing the engine countershaft sprocket disc brake in 1984 and air-cooled 250 and 406 two-strokes in 1988, the company became the first manufacturer of an electric start 604E on a four-stroke in 1989. After three years of hard work and research, ATK offered the first-in-the-industry fuel injection (EFI) on an off-road bike. In 1993, the company was purchased by Frank and Dale White and moved its location to Centerville, Utah. In a year, ATK released its new line of law enforcement specialty motorcycles for San Francisco Police, San Bernardino Sheriffs, and many other agencies. The company has gained a strong reputation for not only its reliable bikes, but also premium quality ATK accessories and parts. Known as an innovator in the industry, it signed contracts with four motorcycle manufacturers and had developed prototype bikes and ATV platforms for them from 1996 until 2008.

During those years, the company kept innovating new products for its customers. Thus, it released the world’s first dirt track bikes (1998) and supermotard motorcycles (1999). 2002 met a 200cc two-stroke single, which was the largest in the industry at that time. Until 2001, all ATK motorbikes had been powered by Rotax engines. In January 2003, Cannondale filed for bankruptcy and the company bought the rights to its engine. Besides, ATK started providing parts and products through the Cannondale dealer network. Later, the company began manufacturing ATK accessories and parts for its own and Cannondale bikes. To guarantee even better performance and greater durability, ATK reengineered the Cannondale platform. The new platform won three national championships in Canada and the USA. In 2011, the company associated itself with S&T Motors of Korea to provide customers with affordable street bikes. Their production was stopped in 2015. Today, ATK keeps developing new products for true bike fans and taking part in many motorcycle-ATV championships all around the globe.
