Clean the area around the fill cap to prevent dirt from getting into the assembly. Open the fill cap to help the oil flow better when you unscrew the drain plug. Clean the magnetic tip of the plug and replace its O-ring. Reinstall the plug. Fill the new gear oil while checking its level with a dipstick.
