Mallory Ignition began as a small automotive parts company, specializing in ignition systems and other electrical components. Founded by Marion Mallory in 1925, the company was initially focused on designing ignition systems for early automobiles, as Marion himself was a passionate automotive engineer and inventor. Mallory’s innovations in high-performance ignition systems quickly garnered attention, especially among car enthusiasts and racers. His development of the "Double Life" distributor, which provided dual points for greater reliability and higher performance, helped establish Mallory Ignition as a leader in the industry.
