Motocross/Dirt Bike Oil Tanks

Commonly used in cruiser motorcycles, oil tanks are pretty rare among motocross bikes. That’s because the bikes designed to spend most of their lifetime playing in the mud have such parameters as reliability and lightness positioned pretty high on the list of their priorities. The presence of an additional tank on a bike can affect these parameters pretty significantly. The tank along with the line that connects the reservoir to the motor may have an array of points where this hugely important liquid can be lost.

Also, the tank itself requires additional space on the frame and makes the bike a bit heavier. But still, this reservoir is really necessary in some cases. To put it more exactly, it's necessary for the dry-sump oil system in which oil is not stored in a crankcase but pumped from the tank. Such a system also has its own advantages, but to function smoothly, it has to be intact and, if possible, well-protected. Fix your bike’s oil system right, with the right replacements.
