Trail Tech products live up to the name – they are designed to cater to the needs of those who hit the trails. Electronic-based goodies are the centerpiece of the brand’s product line. Trail Tech speedometers, tachometers, and all other digital gauges and kits, GPS systems, electrical parts, lighting, you name it – everything is built to be robust and has the features that off-road enthusiasts want. The company was founded in 2001 by Geoff Wotton who started building parts for his own dirt bike due to the lack of U.S.-made products on the market. The Trail Tech headquarters are located in Battle Ground, Washington.
Trail Tech is known for manufacturing off-road motorcycle-specific GPS units. The flagship product, named the Voyager, has been a popular choice for off-road riders for many years. It features a monochromatic screen and is easy to operate via three big buttons and a toggle. While providing navigation, it also integrates with your bike and uses the data from sensors to display the speed, engine temperature, distance, and other parameters. The advanced version of this GPS device, named the Voyager Pro, has a 4-inch color touchscreen. Its exclusive Buddy Tracking feature allows syncing up with other riders in your group and shows their location on the map, which saves time as you don’t need to stop and wait, or get back and search for your buddy if he or she gets lost.
When you are out plowing through rough terrain, you need to know what’s going on in your motorcycle. The Trail Tech Striker is a digital gauge that adds a voltmeter and LED indicator so that you can monitor the state of the battery. If your riding time extends beyond the daytime hours, you can rely on Trail Tech lights that are built tough and provide the level of illumination you need. After sunset, the only source of illumination that you have is in front of your bike – the headlight and auxiliary lights. Trail Tech headlights (Race Series) easily mount to the fork and are available with LED or H1 automotive Halogen bulbs. There’s also the X2 series of Off-Road and Dual-Sport halogen headlights that differ in beam shapes to illuminate either the entire environment or focus the light on the road, respectively.
