Although there are some exceptions, most current 3-wheel vehicles are classified as motorcycles by government regulatory agencies. 3-wheeled bikes are available in several configurations including motorcycles to which a sidecar has been attached; motorcycle-based designs with single front wheel and 2 rear wheels on a common axle, commonly called “trikes”; and reverse trikes, with 2 front wheels and a single rear wheel. Many motorcyclists don’t regard 3-wheel bikes as real motorcycles because they don’t lean. Nevertheless, 3-wheel bikes are becoming very popular, particularly with older riders who may no longer feel confident holding up a heavy bike at a traffic light on aging legs. No matter how the wheels are arranged on your 3-wheel bike, we have the parts you need to keep it well maintained and in good repair, accessories for making upgrades, and riding gear that will make all your 3-wheel trips safer and more comfortable.

These days, 3-wheel bikes are uncommon sights on American roads, but they were ubiquitous in the early days of motorized transport in the form of motorcycle/sidecar “outfits”. These combos were less expensive than early cars and could be used to carry a passenger or make deliveries. Sidecars were offered as optional equipment by many motorcycle makers over the years. Today the Russian Ural company makes complete sidecar outfits, and several companies make sidecars for popular motorcycle models. The direct ancestor of today’s Harley-Davidson Tri Glide and Freewheeler and perhaps the most well-known trike ever made was the Harley Servi-Car, manufactured from 1932 to 1973 for commercial use. Many wild trikes have been created by custom bike builders and currently there are firms that make trike conversion kits for Harley-Davidson touring bikes. Morgan pioneered reverse trike style 3-wheelers and modern versions are still in production. Like the Morgan, the Polaris Slingshot has a car-like cockpit and a steering wheel to actuate the 2 front wheels, but you sit astride the Can-Am Spyder 3-wheeler like a motorcycle and steer the front wheels with handlebars. These reverse trike designs will soon be joined by the Yamaha Niken, a revolutionary 3-wheeler with steering linkage between the front wheels that allow the bike to lean like a conventional motorcycle.

Regular maintenance will help you get many years and miles of enjoyment from your 3-wheeler and we have the products you need for any maintenance task including premium motor oils for air and liquid-cooled engines, coolant and brake fluid for topping off and changes; lubricants for cables, chains, transmissions and final drives; air and oil filters; spark plugs; and much more. Along with consumables we have the tools and equipment you’ll need for every maintenance session including tire pressure gauges, fluid drain pans, oil filter wrenches, spark plug sockets and gappers, spoke wrenches, cable lube adapters, and stands and lifts to raise and support the bike. Plus, we have parts for major and minor repairs, special tools for engines, transmission, clutches, and drivelines, and if you need some service guidance we have repair manuals with easy to follow, step-by-step maintenance, repair, and diagnostic procedures, and detailed illustrations and photographs. We also offer the appearance care products needed to keep your machine looking great including bike wash, polish, wax, and spray detailers.

All 3-wheeler configurations make great touring platforms, capable of carrying a passenger and a lot of gear. You’ll need places to stash that gear and whether you’re starting from scratch or want to supplement your bike’s factory equipment, we’ve got the luggage for the job. Our tank bags are ideal for everyday use and most are expandable to carry plenty of gear, with numerous compartments that make convenient places to stash a cell phone, map, tire repair kit, ear plugs, coins, etc. The more gear you need to take, the more options we offer for hauling it including racks, tail bags, hard cases and soft saddlebags, saddlebag and case liners, luggage mounts, top cases, backpacks, windshield bags, cargo nets and straps. However, if you want to take so much gear it’s impossible to get it all on the bike, consider towing a trailer. If you think that’s the answer to your cargo space dilemma, we have both ball mount and receiver hitches as well as easy to install trailer wiring harnesses. We also offer products to make your trips more comfortable including custom seats, backrests, gel and air cushion seat pads, and cup holders.

You’ll have no problems getting to your destination if you’re equipped with a motorcycle GPS. Our units are durable and waterproof, with easy to read, glove-friendly displays. Many have lifetime map updates and provide information on restaurants, gas stations, and points of interest, and with some you can customize the route to your destination to experience the most interesting roads and the best scenery. We also offer Bluetooth headsets that can be wirelessly connected to smartphones, iPods, MP3 players, and GPS units. These include microphone, speakers, and a control module that can be easily operated with gloves, so you can make calls, listen to music, and get spoken directions from the GPS. Some Bluetooth units can be paired with a number of other headsets, enabling communication with a passenger and other riders within a certain range. Here you’ll also find headsets and cords designed to plug into factory audio systems, so you can listen to music and easily communicate with a passenger. All our headsets are designed for easy installation on a variety of helmet styles including full face, modular, and open face.

We can make it easy for you to upgrade that factory system to premium sound. Our installation kits make mounting an aftermarket receiver in place of your original equipment unit a straightforward procedure. They come with harnesses to make wiring painless and the trim plates and bezels that create a factory-like appearance. Or if you’d rather get maximum highway performance that’s compatible with your factory audio system we offer powerful, full range, class D 2-channel and 4-channel amplifiers, including digital units that draw less current. These are bike specific units that include custom mounting brackets and plug-n-play wiring harnesses. Plus, we have model specific speaker upgrade kits and complete amplifier/speaker kits.

Upgrading your 3-wheeler’s lighting can improve your ability to see at night and make your motorcycle more visible to other motorists for greater safety, and we have the products to make it happen. If your bike has a replaceable headlight bulb, consider installing one of our LED headlight conversion kits. LEDs produce light that is much brighter, they last longer, draw less current, and are vibration resistant. These bulbs are a plug and play installation, with no rewiring or modifications to your bike required. If your 3-wheeler has a sealed beam headlight you can upgrade to brighter light and awesome looks with a full LED sealed beam headlight. Many of these lights use projector beam technology that produces a sharper, more focused beam of light, and some also have LED accent lights that serve as DRLs (Daytime Running Lights), including eye-catching LED halos.

If you don’t have any front lighting besides your headlight, you can supplement its light with our LED fog lights or auxiliary driving lights. Thanks to LEDs these lights pack a lot of illumination into a small package and their diminutive size allows them to be mounted on forks or highway bars, dedicated light bars, or tucked into recesses in fairings. We also offer a variety of flexible LED accent light strips and LED light pods that are so small they can be installed just about anywhere, as well as small LED light bars that can be used to supplement running and brake lights, multi-function fender-mount LED lights, and much more. And if you want your bike to be a hit at shows or wherever you park install one of our underbody light kits, available in multicolor kits that change colors, patterns and themes, and strobe, scan and pulse light to music, all controlled from an app on your smartphone.

It's no surprise that with so much variation in 3-wheel bike design that there would also be a great disparity in tire fitment. Some 3-wheelers use traditional motorcycle tires, while others roll on the kind of tires commonly found on automobiles, and still others come with a combination of both types. But no matter what type of tire your bike takes, radial or bias-ply, tube-type or tubeless, you can count on us to have tires with the tread pattern, rubber compound, width and diameter that are right for your machine and where you ride. Plus, we have a large selection of custom wheels.

We’re also your one-stop shop for all your riding gear needs. We have full face, modular, open face, and half helmets with features like internal retractable sun visors and removeable liners; abrasion resistant jackets, pants, and one and two-piece riding suits in traditional leather and water-resistant textile; boots that provide support and stability as well as protection, and gloves with padding or armor at the palm and knuckles for impact protection and abrasion resistant leather or textile material to protect your skin. We offer gear to keep you warm in cooler weather including balaclavas and heated jacket liners and gloves; mesh and ventilated gear for hot summer riding; and one and two-piece rain suits so you can keep going in any kind of weather.
