The principle of the system's work is based on brake fluid which is specifically formulated to transfer high pressure. This liquid has very low compressibility, so this pressure goes to the brakes almost without losses providing the shortest braking distances. In a long-term perspective, this water can lead to corrosion inside the calipers or other parts.
Once the brake pedal is engaged, the fluid transfers the necessary pressure to the calipers or drums, with the pistons and pads squeezing the rotors in splits of a second.
