The oil pump in your motorcycle’s engine consists of two gears and specially shaped casing. Add a few seals, and that’s pretty much it. Driven by the crankshaft, this part almost cannot fail. The seals around the pump, however, are a different story. These lose their elasticity over time, eventually starting to let oil out.
