Cruiser Bike Engine Parts

The mighty rumble that accompanies you whenever you’re on your favorite cruiser is a sequence of small explosions inside its cylinders – the energy going from hydrocarbons to the crankshaft in a fairly spectacular manner. The valves open and seal the chambers at the strictly defined moments to pass air, compress it, extract power, and push the gases out. Pistons are what actually do it while moving up and down. Connecting rods and crankshaft transform the reciprocating motion of pistons into torque that ultimately rotates the wheels. For it to work fine, the system must stay perfectly orchestrated. With many miles on the odometer, however, it’s unlikely to be the case.

Compared to car engines, bike motors aren’t particularly durable. While it’s OK for an average car to pass 100,000 and more miles with no major replacements at all, bike engine parts like rings, seals, valvetrain bits, or even pushrods are likely to be purchased and installed by the owner a few times over. The good news though is that neither the price of the parts themselves nor the complexity of the work is anywhere near to those of a car engine. At least, if you do shopping in our online store.
