The performance of an internal combustion engine depends on many things, including the bore, stroke, displacement, and other technical aspects, and of course, on the basics such as efficient ignition and the proper air/fuel ratio. In modern motorcycles, the latter is defined by the fuel management system. In most cruiser bikes which usually have a large engine and cover a lot of miles, the proper operation of this system is especially crucial as it means not only good performance but also decent fuel economy and long engine lifespan.
