Moto Guzzi Motorcycle Women's

The oldest European motorcycle manufacturer, Moto Guzzi was founded in Italy far back in 1921. This company is known thanks to its historical achievements in the motorcycle industry such as the first wind tunnel for studying the motorbike's aerodynamics, first center stand, and first eight-cylinder engine used in a bike. However, probably the most obvious feature of pretty much all bikes by Moto Guzzi is their V-twin engines with a longitudinally mounted crankshaft and cylinder heads symmetrically protruding from both sides of a motorcycle. It's quite an unusual construction these days; except for Moto Guzzi, it can be found just in some models by BMW and Honda. Other manufacturers use a transverse layout in the models equipped with a V-twin. It's curious, the experts at Moto Guzzi often call the proprietary engine “transverse V-twin”, although others logically consider such motors as the longitudinal ones, so don't be confused by their longitudinal crankshaft position. Such a design has its pros and cons; these motors use shaft drive instead of a chain, so they can be the finest choice for those who ride much and don't want to bother about chain lubrication.

Originally, Moto Guzzi used racing for brand promotion and won many world championships in the 1950s. At that time, the company designed the unique 500cc V8 GP race bike. In the 1960s, the same engineer who created its V8 engine, Giulio Carcano, designed the company's first model of a well-known air-cooled 90° V-twin with a longitudinal crankshaft orientation. This motor featured a displacement of 700cc and developed 45hp. The modern engines by Moto Guzzi have the same principal construction, but the bikes became mightier and more complex. For instance, the Eldorado model has an air- and oil-cooled 1380cc engine making about 100hp, phased electronic Multipoint sequential injection, 3-way catalytic converter, six-speed transmission, Brembo calipers with four pistons in front and two pistons in the rear, etc. The MGX-21 and California 1400 Touring use the same engine and a similar 6-speed transmission. The company's bikes are available in different colors and use either black or chrome exhaust system, but they feature mainly a classic or even retro style. Some of them have a limited production. For instance, the Anniversario edition, the fourth version of the legendary V7 model, was limited to just 750 units.

Motorcycles by Moto Guzzi are an excellent choice for those who value the heritage of old times but want to employ modern technologies and enjoy a comfortable ride and perfect characteristics.
