Scooter Engine Coolants
The engine of your scooter generates tremendous heat when it works. In order to prevent its overheating, some mopeds are equipped with a fan that sends air to the fins, while others have a specifically-designed cooling system. It consists of a number of components such as a radiator, pump, coolant piping, and, surely, coolant/antifreeze. The last is a liquid specifically formulated to circulate within the system transferring heat from the engine to the radiator. Today, the industry offers two types of antifreeze: ethylene and propylene glycol.
Both are formulated to remain liquid during winter when the temperature goes down below zero and not evaporate during summer when the temperature is extremely hot. Regardless of the riding conditions, they keep the engine running within its normal operating temp. Those two types of coolant shouldn’t be mixed. They are dyed in different colors, so just make sure you add the liquid of the same color as that of your previous one. Maxima Racing Oils, Liquid Performance, Twin Air, Spectro, and many other prominent aftermarket manufacturers stocked our shelves with their scooter engine coolants of the quality you can rely on, so you can purchase with confidence from us.
